Do you know John Millais' painting of Ophelia painted in 1851? Perhaps you're familiar with John William Waterhouse's painting of 'A Mermaid'. The pre-raphaelites were known for their unusual models with long floating hair, their attention to nature, the expression in the subjects face, the glistening of the water.

Here you will find the same series as the figurative images, this time with close ups of my head and upper body with my 50mm lens. These pictures capture the exquisite detail of how sharp the features appear next to my wet, almost black hair and the way water droplets sit on my skin.
