Caravaggio, one of my favourite artists. His black backdrops with a religious icon peering through and reaching for the sun.

These photos are a contemporary take on the dramatic feel of his compositions, one side of my body turning into the light, whilst the rest remains in shadow. My arms reaching over, exposing my flesh, with a low camera angle to exaggerate the length of my body.

Not dissimilar to the way one would look up at a renaissance painting in a Church with the figures peering over them, these pictures are not just potential pieces of their own, but a stunning insertion into your own compositions.
